New to modding. Genesis 2/3 mod idea.

Like I said I'm trying to learn, and the Ben Heck forums is the best place to do so. I saw a video on youtube that used RGB Scart to make a Component signal from a Sega Genesis, I personally own a Genesis 3, and according to gamesx.com it can output RGB from the Multi AV out, is there any way to make a cable with maybe a box (converter) that is taking a RGB signal and making Component. Sorry If what I'm saying is completely wrong, but I guess you gotta start somewhere right?
