Sorry for the Stupid thread but I have a question. Is it possible to get an avatar from your computer. In otherwords, say i have a small picture in My Pictures that I want to use for my Avatar. Can I make this my avatar, and if so how?

go to inageshack.us and load it, then use the address they give you afterwards in the "link to off-site avatar" field in your profile

Host it on imageshack or someother picture site, then link it here, otherwise no, you cant host directly from your computer without special crap.

You can link you avatar from an off-site URL, its right above the browse-compute-upload thing.

Edit - oh, sorry, read wrong post.
Did you put in http:// and that crap? that some times fudges it up.
