Sega Genesis with V2V Pro Composite to VGA converter!

Hello all : ) I'm looking to build a (rather) large portable and have hit a dead end with one console. I'm wanting to run a Genesis through a computer monitor via the V2V Pro composite to VGA converter. Unfortunately this is the only console of my collection that refuses to work with the darn thing. The video shows up completely interlaced and stuttery (Though I can still make out the images) I've tried just about every video mode possible on this thing and still no go. Others have reported the same problem with this device when coupled with the Genesis. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? If it's a frequency problem or something like that would there be any way to boost the signal so it will display correctly? Oh if only I could find a data sheet somewhere...

i HIGHLY recomend if your using a VGA monitor a GBS-8220 or 8200. it works great with both the SNES and the genesis. if you need component video ive HAD AMAZING luck with my genesis and a jrok converter board. the genesis generates very sharp RGB S signals and you will get a MUCH better picture than with a composite to VGA adapter.
