Fat SNES info

Does anyone know what voltage and mA the fat SNES runs on? The mini redesign has a 7805 inside. Is it the same? I'm not making a portable with it but I have other plans.

Some one moved it to the SNES thread? Makes sense I guess. I know a SNES wall-wart gives it 10 volts and 850 mA, but I'm making my own power supply and need to know what regulator to use.

hey i have both a mini and an original SNES. both use the same power supply hookup and both wall warts have the same pinout, voltage and amperage. so 10 volts 850ma should be fine. infact anything in that range should be ok i know my multi meter says its getting about 12 to 13 volts from the adapter and its an original Nintendo one. also the virtual boy used the same adapter as well.

Thanks Wobble! The Virtual Boy, Ha! My power supply is completely homemade (etched my own PCB) I have many regulators including 5v 6v 9v and 12v. Also I have a 1 amp fuse on it. Will that work? If 5v is best, that would be easier for me.

For the regulator? Oh yeah it's voltage in, ground, voltage out. First I have to actually BUY one and mod it. I already have a SNES mini but that's only for portables. I'm planning on putting a fat one it in my old VCR. Pictures soon!!
