GBC Screen Problem

Hey,

I was attempting to remove the screen from my Gameboy Color and I think I tugged a little too hard as now only half the screen displays! Anyone else experience this issue/able to offer insight?

I have a theory: the part of the ribbon cable attached to the screen (where all the foam is) is like "glued" to the screen. About half of the cable, however, has lost this "glue". Could this be it? Is there anyway to "glue" it back on?

so far though, sounds like a ribbon cable disconnect, which can be repairable
