Presenting the apple i-track
Well some of you may remember me messing around with my 8 track player and making and audio in adapter for it like those you see for cassette players. I completed it and it worked quite well, however, it looked a bit cheap and I didn't want an ugly wire dangling from the 8 track shell. so I finally solved this problem today. I bought a second gen ipod nano from a friend and hardwired it into the adapter. It has a headphone jack on the side in case I want to listen to tunes without the 8 track player and I have put in a female usb port so I don't have to go hunting for my ipod cord all the time. it is not the prettiest of things, but I very much like it the way it is.

Awesome!
I'm guessing that Alice Cooper tape has been used a lot, the i-Track sounds considerably better. And, those speakers you have... What kind are they? They look a whole lot like mine, but maybe that was just the style back... Whenever they're from....

the alice cooper cartridge sounds really nice in real life, I don't know why it didn't sound as good on the video. As for the speakers, they are Realistic brand and they are from the late 1970s.

Re: Presenting the apple i-track
no.
they made an adapter for the 8 track player, like the one I made earlier this year. basically what they did was make one of those adapters you see for tape decks, except for an 8 track player. The ipod on pimp my ride was never hardwired into the adapter.

thanks.
I just bought a 1960s era sears 8 track player for my car. I'm going to have the most bad ass Buick in town.

Re: Presenting the apple i-track
hmm, that will be a bit harder than the i-track, rekarp.
But I have been thinking of doing something similar with an ipod shuffle in a cassette tape.
