Getting a pair of Doc's. How do I wear them?

Hello everybody! VV here again. I was looking through my closet, and all my shoes are THRASHED! I have a pair of shoes for about 6 months, and they have rips, tears, you name it! It looks disguisting. So, now I'm going to get me a pair of 1460 Doc Martens. But I have a few questions about these shoes. How in the world do I wear them? I see a lot of guys tucking the jeans into the shoe which is pretty cool. SInce almost all of you expierenced the 90's, how do you remember them being worn? Thanks!

Really? On your feet was soooo 90's. Nowadays, people wear them on their hands, or tie them together and wear them around your neck.

I went through the first five pages and there was nothing on how to wear them. He was also asking us for our opinion, not something blatantly obvious.

I remember docs being a pretty big thing when i was in elementary/jr high (late 90s early '00s) but i live in a rural area so my experiences with how to wear them in a trendy/mainstream way are minimal lol. you can tuck your pants into them or not, they are boots basically, wear them as such

Depending on how used to wearing boots you are, it might take a little while to wear them in, wearing thick socks or two pairs helps

I only own one pair of shoes and that is a pair of DM's

You can tuck your trousers in, roll them up or just let them go over the boot, doesn't really matter too much. I usually tend to roll my jeans up as turn ups:



Although thats because of the whole skinhead/punk thing

Skinny jeans are usually easier to tuck in though

Tuck jeans/trousers into the boots, only with like fitted jeans though or it looks weird.
