UPDATE TO THE SITUATION!

Well, I managed to fix the laggy video issue...turns out there's a setting in Virtualdub that makes it insert null frames for whatever reason...I turned that off, and sure enough, the skipping stopped! yay!

Unfortunately, I ran into another problem....now the video stops recording at random...the program says its still recording, but it's not..the recording timer (the one that says how long I've been recording) stops moving and all the file size info and what not stops as well...and when I end the capture, the file is no bigger than the time and what not that it stopped at. BUT, at least the video is flawless :lol:

Any clues as to what's causing THIS problem now? ..this is really annoying me...

I got one movie file up to 20 minutes in length, and that one was about 400 MB in size...so they're not very big at all really.
