need help with controller pinouts

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

need help with controller pinouts

I have an official sony psone controller, but i dont know which pins go to which buttons. Does anyone have any diagrams of the psone controller pinouts?

No pins go to any buttons. There is a chip that converts all the button presses into code of some form. They do this to avoid using giantly oversized connectors. (1 pin for ground and 1 more for each button) The last system that I know of to use direct wiring to the buttons was the neogeo.
