I personally prefer hand-tossed, but between thin crust and deep dish, deep dish all the way. I like the fluffiness of the dough.

I haven't had either of them in a few years, but definitely deep dish. Thin crust pizza is just too small. I weigh 91 pounds, and I could probably eat an entire thin crust pizza pie. And I like cheese. Which there is hardly any of on thin crust pizza, because there's hardly any pizza on thin crust pizza. So yeah, deep dish all the way.

I love the softness of deep dish. Stuffed crust is AMAZING. I like to make it from scratch with string cheese as the stuffed crust.

+1 to ANY scratch-made pizza. Somehow it always tastes better than store-bought or from a pizza place.

Deep dish (pan style) all the way. It costs the same but you get more... easy decision for me!

Can someone describe the difference to me please?

first of all, what the heck is this "deep dish" thing you keep talking about... is that like a euphemism for "fried in grease" or is there something more Im missing here? Is this an American thing? Ive only ever eaten delivery, frozen, or home-made pizza. Im guessing these all qualify as "thick crust"... right?

What is the thickness (in mm) of the crust of a thin crust pizza?? Also, are we talking about the distance from the bottom of the sauce to your plate, or the radial distance from the edge of the sauce to the outer edge of the pizza?

Or does "thin crust" simply describe the opposite of "deep dish"???

Theres just so much to know....

That is a deep dish pizza. Another name for it is pan pizza, because it literally is the thickness of a pan.

Thin crust pizza is usually under a quarter-inch/5mm or so. Regular crust is usually about a half-inch to an inch/1-3cm.

The crust is my favorite part too, but I like it to be crispy on the outside and fully cooked. Probably the reason I didn't list deep dish as my favorite is because I've had one or two in the past with undercooked doughy crust...eww... Something like Giordano's though... This is why I put "Both" - I really do like both kinds, it depends on the mood I'm in.

Thin crust is a flat circle with the edges rolled up a little:


(Sometimes they roll string cheese into the edge, and that's how you get stuffed crust.)
