Zenith PSOne screen color inversion

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Zenith PSOne screen color inversion

Okay, so.

After I fix ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS with my portable, the screen does this

It's got a lot of residual blur on it and I can barely see some of the stuff...and the colors are inverted. Anyone know what it could be? I've charged the batteries and the ribbon cable is inserted correctly. :?

You're right. I never liked being able to see the screen anyway. [/sarcasm] :P

Put your meter on the power input and make sure you have at least 7v (while its turned on).

Tap the screen PCB against a table to knock any loose stuff off. Make sure you have no flecks of solder shorting anything.

If you don't mind would you also check the revision of your screen?

Screens I've had before just cut out when they die, they didn't invert the colors. I'm guessing it has something to do with the revision.

So the battery is not sending out enough mA apparently to either the N64 or the screen so I can safely assume the part of my circuit before the 7808 is not working properly. I will figure out and post here and thewise1 if you tell me how to check I can
