Im looking for a good battery is this ok? or is there a better one with built in pcb?
BTW for everyone from aus that wants to buy from the usa tryhttp://www.priceusa.com.au. you tell them what to order and they send it from the us

2 questions
1. do i need to use the 7808 if im not using a ps1 screen
2. how do i step down my power to 5v for my screen

The reason you need the 7808 regulator for the ps1 screen is so it won't fry from too much voltage. You may or may not need it (or something similar) for your other screen, depending on what voltage your screen takes.

THIS is a decent step down regulator because no energy is wasted as heat. You can adjust the pot to whatever resistance you need, in order to get whatever voltage output you need.

will this screen take 9v?
BTW thanks for the links miguell and marshallh but because im in australia it will be too expensive to get it here, even using priceusa.
