Hey, sorry for asking a noob question, but what do the two things I put in red/purple squares mean? I'm confused...

It just steps down the voltage to the 7.5v the psone screen needs (only necessary if your battery is over 9v) if the battery is under 9v you can wire the screen straight to the battery.
