Capacitors? and switch question

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Capacitors? and switch question

Post by KingzIE »

hello all my first portable is well under way its a snes ver 1 currently running on a 7.2 3300mah RC battery. I have just begun hacking my PSone screen and was wondering if anyone can give me a part# of the proper 200UF capacitor for the RGB mod?

Also i have another question in regards to the 3way switch ive installed on the unit, i have an on/off/on switch each of the ONs are for the battery and dc jack, but when i flip the switch to battery ON it does nothing but when i switch it back to the center (off) it will turn on the juice to the battery and the system powers up, now wehn the sytem powers up on center toggle and i throw the switch back over to what is supposed to be battery ON it will power up and the system runs but ive noticed that the screen is brighter while on the battery ON setting (running thru standard TV RCA not PSone screen) anyone have an idea of whats goin on? i havent found a proper dc adpter for the unit yet so i havent gotten to test that end yet but anyone who knows of one SNES compadible for a standard wall outlet please post a link.

Something on your switch is obviously messed up. Post a schematic.
