SNES Cartridge MODS I need your help

Post by raiderblue17 »

Hey all, Im looking to play the Games that we missed out on as kids for the SNES: Star Ocean, Secret of Mana 2, Tales of Phantasia, etc. The trick is that I want to play them on a genuine SNES cart. So if you know how to cartridge hack PM me at Raiderblue17@gmail.com and let me know your price. I want this project to look legitimate, so be prepeared to create a game label too. I will provide the cartridges for you.

Thanks

super famicom games will work in a snes, you just need to trim down two plastic tabs that prevent the game from fitting in. use a bic pen to open the snes, and a dremel to cut off the tabs. Hope I helped!

They do have a region lockout on it, though. I got a Super Famicom pretty cheap off of ebay. Are you in the US?

Star Ocean and Secret of Mana 2 were only released in Japan... Im looking for people to cartridge hack the roms onto blank cartridges to be played on the SNES.

Thanks for the link though

why don't you socket an snes cart board, and put the jap roms in the socket? You could switch them out. Unless they use a co-processor, which is not entirely uncommon.

I would just get a Super Famicom (I actually got one partially for that reason). They're not much money on ebay, and you can use them with pretty much any TV in the US, since Japan also uses the NTSC standard.
