With a complex answer I bet.
I had this in mind, wondering what would need to be done to achieve it. First off, there are flash drives out there with 8gb capacitiy, more than enough to fit every single nes/gb/gbc onto it. What would I have to do to make a portable game console that, instead of running games off of carts, ran them from a flash drive?
I'm sure this is immensely and stupidly complex. It'd be one thing if the flash drive had but a single game on it, but for it to have multiple games on it, I'm sure I'd have to get into MIPS programming, which is way over my head. But still, I like asking questions and I hope I can get some answers. Thanks!
EDIT: I thought about it some more and figured out something (as well as making the question less broad I hope). Suppose say I had a NOAC, and wanted to have some kind of flash storage with multiple games on it. What would I have to do to be able to turn on the device, select a game, and have the NOAC read the rom I've selected? Would I be better off just trying to write a nes emulator instead?

NES Flash Cart
I don't know if there is anything cheaper, but basically you get a cart that you can put a flash card into (Compact Flash IIRC).
Unless you want to completely take out the cart. Then I don't know.

You know, this isn't what I had in mind (I knew about this already) but thinking about it, I suppose it could work. Thanks.
