This is the Reference section of the forums. It is only for posting infomation, not asking questions. Your question would be better asked in the PS2, Xbox, Gamecube board. Don't start a new topic, though. Wait for a Moderator to move it.

In regards to your questions, you will always need a heatsink and a fan for a Gamecube portable. You could try it with just a passive heatsink and no fan, but it would be massive, and defeat the whole purpose of making it "portable".

I'm not exactly sure what your asking about the screen. As long as it has AV in, then it will work. If your screen already has an antenna for receiving TV, then that should work. It'll add size to your portable though. If you're trying to add it to the screen, it may be difficult. And it is possible to get AV out of your portable to hook it up to a TV.

There is no way you'll be able to fit a Gamecube in a LazerDoodle. The ZN-45 case at Polycase.com (http://www.polycase.com/item/zn-45.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) can fit a Gamecube, and have already been used successfully in portables.

For case bonding, ABS cement, bondo, and JB Weld are mainly what you would use. Hot glue can be used on the inside, but it makes for a terrible outside, since it is a different texture than the plastics.

Also, read through the stickies on the different boards. They contain a lot of info about portables. A Gamecube as a first portable is a daunting task. Read through the forums, and maybe you'll find something easier to start with.

Hope that answered some questions. Good luck!

Complete and total BS.

A Gamecube would fit in a LaserDoodle a LOT easier than a Zn-45.

Please think before posting :)
