What to do with old Server Case?

I have the case to a Sun 420R server. I don't want to just throw it away or chop it up for other stuff, so does anyone have any ideas for what I could do with it? The dimensions are approximately 27.5 x 17.5 x 6.5". It still weighs 30+ pounds, so anything other than stationary use is pretty much out. Xbox in the pics is for scale.

Mod it; thebestcasescenario.com is a good place to look for computer case mods.

If you can, see if you can make it into a Computer and Media Server combo. It's big enough for it if you arrange things right.

Hmm, it's probably steel...

Either use it for a PC case or scrap it. Or maybe put legs on it and make an extremely nerdy endtable.

ooh. Labrats! use it for some small furry creature habitat....Or a live trap. Maybe you could use it as a coin bank?

The first thing I think of is to stuff it with hard drives and set up an unRAID server.

Buuut...that may be just me. Depends on whether you have a need (or desire

) for that much storage.

Hm, maybe a coffee table or small desk. I have a computer I built in one of the PSUs from it, maybe cut a hole in the top of the case for an LCD and turn it into a "computer desk".

I thought the same thing when I put the Xbox in to take the pictures. I could probably fit almost ever major system in there if I really wanted to.
A coin bank? Well, if I ever filled it, I would have probably half a million coins.
As much as I would like to stuff it with hard drives, that is a little out of my budget right now.

I would suggest going to instructables.com. They are currently having a Dead PC contest. One entry I've seen so far is to convert a PC tower into an aquarium. But really you could do almost anything, jukebox, wall-mount HTPC, or even just use it for a case mod for a NAS.
