ok I think I found out how to power an n64

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

could you please read it and tell me if it's incorrect

7.2v~9v battery. 2 wires ( black and red ) go to the n64

but I also need to step it down to 3.3v with a step down reg I also need (100uf and 2k Reg )

am I correct?

you can find batteries on batteryspace.com. a 7.4v or 2 with a PCB should work. and you can get your regulator from the Texas instrumants website. PTH08080WAZ is what i got. they send out free samples.

you need the capacitor (100uF) and anywhere from a 1.8-2.2k resistor for the Pth. i got 2.2k and its too much for my project so id recommend getting a few sizes, just in case.

also, be careful soldering the PTh, i think u can do it on the bottom which is what i should have done, its easy to miss and hit a component with ur soldering iron.

you need a 2k resistor not regulator :wink:
