N64 batteries

hey im new a this i wanted to know what battery i should buy to power my portable n64

i know i need to make the V's lower like if its 7.2v i need to change it to 3.3v

what tools do i need

the texas instrument parts pth08000 and 08080 are used regularly, they are very power efficient. They do require a 100uf capacitor(I think) and a 2k or 2.2k resistor(I think).(there are wiring diagrams on this site and lots of info on the datasheet)
