You give em the engine block, they clean it up and put new stuff on. You can't get much simpler than that.Niku-Sama wrote:it sound like a core deposit, lots of companies do it it just usually companies that rebulid or remanufactuer cylinder heads engine blocks ect...so its not un common...not to mension you might get some california ataris out of it which well....would be kick ass, well worth the $10 discount
I'm gonna REQUIRE a trade-in Atari for Phoenix purchases

Yeah, a lot of automotive stuff can be rebuilt. When you go to buy something new, you can buy a rebuild for around a third of the price.

Ben, what if you charged extra for getting an Atari 2600 from you instead of making them required? I mean, instead of only charging $310 with trade-in, charge $400 for without trade-in or something along those lines. It is a good deterrant for those who have 4-switchers, but for those who don't and can't get one for some reason, it would be an okay last resort.
Also, perhaps you could give discounts to a few people who would ship you extra 4-switch Ataris to help compensate for those who may need to order the Ataris from you, say $30 a unit? (Make them pay for shipping)

Warranty-Voiding fun!

I know how you feel, I've never played it before either. The closest I've gotten was a Centipede arcade table at the dentist's.G-force wrote:I've never even played an atari 2600! So I don't really want to spend big bucks on a system I've never played

I AM BAT MAN!
It is the Broodwich. Forged in darkness from wheat harvested in hell's half acre. Baked by Beelzebub. Slathered with mayonnaise beaten from the evil eggs of dark chicken force-fed to dogs by the hands of a one eyed mad man. Cheese boiled from the rancid teat of fanged cow. Layered with 666 separate meats from an animal, which has maggots for blood.
Just replace 'Broodwich' with InTV, and replace all the food items with video game and electronic stuff, if you post that on eBay, you'd get more monet than you'd think is possible.

I agree. Ive never played Atari and $310 + hunting around for another atari is pretty steep. I know its kind of the standard price cause all of bens portables have been $300+ but still its a lotsoundwave wrote:I know how you feel, I've never played it before either.
