Noob questions about 64

Hey I joined today after seeing some nice portable n64s. I still have a Couple questions tho.

How much would it cost to make my own?

Where is a walkthru or step by step guide to help me along?

How long does it usually take ?

Ha sorry for questions that you have probably answered a hundred times before. I think it would be awesome to play nintendo in the car for summer vacation so I hope there are others willing to help out some1 like me.

Mine has cost me about $200 so far but thats because I've had to buy multiple screens, consoles and controllers due to me breaking them.

hmm. I thought it it would cost more like 300. Thanks for the guide. I hope to get my parts bought by next weekend. And hopefully start the week after =) woo. Now it seems possible to do myself! Thanks!
