Spud Guns!

Hello hello.
I just thought you all might be interested in my collection of PVC weaponry. I have made a lot of guns over the years, but I only have pictures of some of them considering I can only keep so many due to space. This right here is why I haven't finished a portable, I have always been split between two worlds.

Okay, this first one is not really a potato gun by any means. It is a high power paintball gun that runs off of a paintball compressed tank. I built it with the intention of shooting my friends with it but I would never shoot anyone with it, its far too dangerous. It can lob a paintball around 600fps at 80psi. Its probably one of the more straight forward ones I own as far as how it works. That green thing is a sprinkler valve that is actuated by the red button and that just opens the chamber letting the air into the barrel.

This second one has quite a bit more power behind it. I really wouldn't call this a spud gun either, unless of course you have a potato that is three inches in diameter lol. This thing is best at shooting baseballs and gatorade bottles full of water. Its range is about a quarter to a half mile at 100psi and has enough kick to knock you on your ass if you are not ready for it. Again, the operation of this one is relatively simple. The sprinkler valves are modded to work for mechanical operation rather than electrical making the valves quite a bit more efficient then the last gun. A brass ball valve is connected to the pilot exhaust of both of the sprinkler valves and when the ball valve is opens it actuates both of the sprinkler valves simultaneously.

This one is one of my older guns that has been converted into a combustion gun recently (unfortunately to pictures of it now). This one uses a simple two inch ball valve, making extremely inefficient. It is eight feet long and has a barrel diameter of two inches. It is probably my only true spud gun. It boasts a range of about a mile shooting arrow-dynamic caulking tubes at about 120psi.

Now last but not least, my uber pilot assisted, piston valve, baseball launcher. This thing... Is scary... I would tell you its distance it can shoot, but I honestly don't know. I just know that I shot it in my backyard at 40psi and almost killed myself with a ricocheting baseball flying somewhere around a million miles per hour. And when I shot a baseball off into the distance, I never found it. It uses a piston valve I made myself, and a sprinkler valve to pilot it. There you are, my PVC arsenal. I wrote this kinda fast so if something doesn't make since or you want something explained better, just ask. Hope you have enjoyed!

I have recently made a spudzooka, and it can shoot about a football field's length. It is compustion, and spray painted to look like a real bazooka, but I didn't take a picture of it yet.

I need to find a good how-to on this. My summers haven't been the same for the past four or five years since the initial one with a potato gun :'( and it doesn't work anymore.

Depending on what you're wanting from a water balloon launcher, you might be ok with a store bought one. In my physics class we had to make a launcher that shot 50 yards, my teacher said someone used a store bought one and it went far enough (he changed the criteria so someone couldn't do it so easy).
I need to build a spud gun, I've been wanting to for years. I need to find a place that I could shoot one... I know of plenty of places, but none are very close/accessible.

Wow thats pretty intense. I was always jealous of the people who had access to a lathe. It makes life much easier in the world of spud gunning.

I need to find a place that I could shoot one... I know of plenty of places, but none are very close/accessible.

I use to test all of mine in my neighborhood, whether its shooting them down my street or in my backyard
