Tiny speaker

Post by argelfraster »

Since more and more people are moving to 3.5" screens that have no audio amps, they need to build their own, which is kind of annoying IMO.
So I started to look for a small speaker that could replace hand built ones, and I found this:

It's currently out of stock, but I will be buying one ASAP and let you know how it is.

EDIT: I just ordered two of these and will let you know how they are soon.

The big problem is that most of them have no way of controlling the volume and just adding a pot doesn't work.

So yea be aware of that. :)

I've tried to find small speakers but usually the frequency on them is not high enough, and OoT I couldn't here the high not on his ocarina, so I'm squeezing in the psone speakers instead. It not just watts that you're trading off.

Hope you find some good ones though.

I don't know what many of you think but headphones often times have speakers that are much louder then needed and they could be used for speakers in the fashion you want. It would require testing, and that mean it could be a good number before you find a suitable set. But I figure if you can find either a headset or ear-buds that can work, for under $30, you're in business.

I'd say if you'd like checkout Sony NeoDynamic magnet ear-buds. I have a pair and they put quiet a bit of volume. And when I bought them they were only $10.
