Making a ps1p. What should I get for the battery?

Post by stuntpenguin007 »

I'm using a ps1 (slim model) and a 5 inch led modded ps1 screen. Anyone have a suggestion for the kind of battery I should get? I'd like it to last 3 hours minimum. I know there's some info floating around about the current draw of both the ps1 and led modded screen, but I can't seem to find it. Also I was thinking of going with a polymer battery.

edit: It looks like it draws 1200mA from what I can find. Does that sound accurate?

more edit: So, two of these http://www.batteryspace.com/highpowerpo ... arate.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in series should be enough to power the ps1 and screen for approximately 4 hours. right?

Im using a sony infolithium L battery from the book. The chunkier batteries have a whopping 6600 Mah. that should last around 3 hours. the generic versions also sell for fairly cheap making it a fairly good option

The batteries you posted are the ones I'm planning on getting. Should get a minimum of 3 hours. If you've not stumbled across it already here's a great guide to those batteries. Don't forget to get the protection circuit so they don't blow up in your face, lol.
