quick PS3 Cooling mod question

I recently purchased 2 Copper heatsink fan combos from tigerdirect:

but apparantly they lied about the measurements. it doesnt fully cover each required spot.

I am using a PS3 60GB, it has an overheating issue and i figured a full copper replacement is better, since i cant afford liquid cooling.

so basically its like fitting a circle in a square...

it has the right dimensions length and width wise but it leaves the corners untouched.

i need to know if this is still safe or should i return for a different product.

by the sounds of things (being too small and all) I would imagine that you got the wrong Vantec cooler.. you were probably looking for the iceberq 4 Pro - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=4027" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would seriously recommend this over the other cooler that you bought because of the following:

Vantec Iceberq 4 PRO VGA Cooling Kit
Fan Speed: 5500 R.P.M // Airflow: 8.6 CFM // Cooler Dimension: 88X65X15 mm
vs
Vantec Iceberq All-In-One Copper VGA and Chipset Cooling Kit
Fan Speed: 5000 R.P.M // Airflow: 3.5 CFM // Dimension: 51X59X14(mm)

The first has a much greater cooler size and 145% greater CFM airflow. I would be concerned about using the smaller one providing adequate cooling. FWIW the PRO is what is used by almost everyone doing customer cooling in original xboxes to make miniboxes.
