card slot relocation

It means that you have one or more of the following:
1 or more poor connections
1 or more wires in the wrong place
A cart that you stuck in the slot backwards
Bridged connections

now this is a good thread, so do you use whires to move the cart port? as in de solder the cart pot, and solder wires to the holes than on the other end solder the wires on? i'm new at soldering and reloacating

Pretty much. All you're doing is extending the connections between the slot and motherboard.

Question: How are you guys removing the cart/exp ports? Do you just snap them off? Or is there a safer way?

Flip the board over, heat the solder with a soldering iorn, and use a copper wick or de-soldering bulb to get rid of it. Then if there are plastic clips, cut/pry them open, and then remove the slot.

Have you tried hooking it up to a TV? If your power LED comes on, it usually means that it isn't fried, so either it has a minor problem (bridged connection), or your screen isn't working (or connected properly).

i have it hooked up to a tv and the light comes on the screen flickers but nothing happens the game is working (i have tested it) so does that mean it is a bridged connection??

It sounds like some of the wires aren't connected properly. Did you solder them into holes A1 or A2.

i soldered to A1 it all seems fine except nothing happens

You alternated the wires properly? Top, Bottom, Top, Bottom... And you didn't accedently do it opposite? You went from the top of the board? Is your jumper/expansion pak in tight? If you are using the expansion and have a jumper, try changing it.
