Maybe a section for noobs that just has a bunch of stickied and/or locked topics. New portablizers can go there and see which system to work with first, which screen to use, or what items they might need. It could prevent every other thread being something that was already answered a hundred times.
Also, realize I've been a member for a while so I know there are topics already for these things, but few actually look at them because there isn't a big sign that says to go there first.
bad idea?

Re: FAQ section
Kinda like the reference section?
People never look at the stickies. Maybe until they get 10 or so posts, there is a huge banner on top of everything that says "GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE IN REFERENCE SECTION! LOOK HERE FIRST!"

Yes, EXACTLY like the reference section

ever think that maybe new people don't go there first is because there's nothing that makes them think it applies to them?collinE wrote: Also, realize I've been a member for a while so I know there are topics already for these things, but few actually look at them because there isn't a big sign that says to go there first.
