hi guys,

my name is jack orr, im 13 and from the uk, well, im a long time fan, first time poster i got directed towards this forum by my good friend tom (aka OMGpedobear )

im a big robotics fan, for those old anough to remember the tv show robot wars(or battlebots as shown on comedy central) i competed on that (and continue to) i am currently designng/building a autonimos robot kit, along with a robotic arm, my rc battleboats , and my homebrew bass guitar

so why am i here? well apart from bein a long time ben heck fan me and tom (omgpedobear) are currently filming a seiresof instuctual shows for youtube (think makezine and kipkay ) episode one is about the xbox 360 laptop so keep your eyes peeled

I loved battlebots when it was still on the air. Two of my brothers and I said we would build one when we were old enough. Unfortunately the show was canceled. I don't see why that should stop us though.

I'm on my school's robotics team; we're almost done with our robot. No robot wars/battle bots type thing, but we're a first year team , and we've got a lot done with pretty much no help.

*yes i did say battleboats 8 foot long wooden rc boats with co2 powered cannons,,,,wonderfull

*you can still make one check out the fighting robot associatin forum, they have lotsa help there, there are also loads of live events around (non telivised...but makezine coverage somtimes, and of course youtube )

*sounds awsome, post up some piccys id love to see it
