Now Now hailrazer, just cause you can put Video Games into children's toys doesn't mean you can't help him. 
Anyways, although an Xbox Portable is possible, it is not really ideal as it would be massive. Most people do an Xbox Laptop. I have not seen an Xbox wiring diagram, sorry.

Well, once has been made right? I can't remember if it had batteries in it or not, but it was giant and had the controls in the upper left and right. It was giant.

in re: wiring diagram, you would likely use the XBOX mini as a guide for making it smaller to begin with. Thankfully this may require a bare minimum of wiring. You will need to flash the TSOP or put in a mod chip to maximize this adventure. Also, you would likely need a PICO PSU (preferrably 120 - 200w) and a Sick Mods ATX to XBOX PSU converter.
A laptop HDD or 1.8 inch Zif drive would help too, but of course you will need a 2.5 to 3.5 IDE converter or a 1.8 to 3.5 converter depending upon your needs.
These materials, no including a custom case, would be around $200 or so. It isn't a matter of wiring so much as it is a matter of expense. Get all this stuff and then maybe you could find a way to wire from Laptop battery to ATX...
