Is it possible to use a third party analog stick on an official Nintendo 64 controller?

With a bit of magic, yes. http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=36429" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But it would be far easier to use a third party controller.

Ya. It'd be the same as the above. Third party n64 controller's sticks use pots and official ones use diodes or something. So it'd be the same as putting a PS2 or gamecube stick in.
This place is fun.
