Some speaker questions

Post by ToastBucket »

I have some speakers I want to use and they have a line in port that looks like a 3.5mm jack. I can't find anything on the board that looks like it might be a place to solder L audio and R audio other than that port. I turned them on, plugged an ipod into the 3.5mm in jack, and put a multimeter up to the different places where the jack is soldered to the board and got 0 for each but I know that the jack works because i got sound. Do i have to read Ohms or is there a standard for these jacks? Also if i just glue the speakers to the inside of my casing will it make it sound bad or should i screw them in?
This place is fun.
