Cart Slot relocation?

If I'm doing a cart slot relocation, could I just leave the EXT port in and not have to desolder and bridge the connections? I have plenty of space in my ZN-45. Btw, sorry I keep making new threads but no one answers my questions on my main thread.

you do not need to do any extra if you relocate the cart slot and remove the exp port. if you don't relocate the cart slot, then you need to bridge all that crap.
