Need help finding 3.5mm video jacks

Post by hailrazer »

I've been using the 3.5mm video jacks from the Psone screens that I had but I am out.

I need a bunch of 4-pole Audio/Video Panel Mount jacks
But I can't find them anywhere.

You know what I am talking about? It's the jacks that are used so you can plug in the 3.5mm Audio/Video cable that has the Yellow/Red/White cable to go to your T.V.

Anyone know where to buy them ?

Thanks :)

According to the data sheet I think they are disconnected on this one.

Thanks that's it.

Actually the one Kibble linked to is just a 4 pole stereo jack. If you plug in the 3.5mm A/V plug it won't work. At least the ones I have here at the house don't work. The 4th pole is just the ground for the shielding in the cable. Course I may have tested it wrong ???

Thanks everyone :)

There are several different pinouts for the 3.5mm A/V connectors. The ones you have might be wired a bit different, so you'll have to change a couple wires around. As for a source, ipods with video out would have them.

It wasn't a matter of the wiring. It was a matter of the 4 poles on the AV male jack not connecting with the 4 poles in the female jack. The first pole on the one kibble linked to didn't make a connection with anything on the male AV jack.

Like I said could have been user error.

Just an FYI

Both the one kibble linked to and the one samjc3 linked to work perfectly for a 3.5mm video and stereo audio jack.

The one kibble linked to is good for just drilling a hole in the case pushing it through and tightening the nut.
The one samjc3 liked to are smaller, so you will have a small hole with the plug flush mounted. But you will have to hot glue or epoxy it in.

Thanks for the help guys :)
