how high does the battery voltage have to be to run a ps2?

well first off, that depends on the ps2, though i'll assume ur using a slim, so it has to be 8.5v. you can find a screen pretty much anywhere that sells portable electronics. whether you wanna go the traditional ps1 screen route, or if you wanna try and get something different to work, like a portable dvd player screen, its really up to you. and as far as casing, obviously your case needs to be big enough to hold everything, ps2 mobo, screen, controller, batteries, go-between electronics, etc. so before you select a case, you need to get an idea of just how much space ur gonna need.
