Super gameboy cart that plays gbc exclusive games

I know for a fact that the SGBII doesn't play GBC only games...so i would like to know if this has been done before or if such a mod is even possible. Thank you.

there is a super game boy 2, hard to come by, but it can play GBC games and even has a link cable port

Exactly, like i said the SGBII DOES NOT play gbc exclusive games. Would it be possible to replace the guts of the super gameboy with the one from the gbc?
