Screen Help Por Favor

Ive wired up my screen ( just the power for testing) and when I turn it on It is black for a few seconds then flashes white and I get nothing. Shouldnt it say "No Signal" at the top if there's nothing? I have it hooked up to a 7.2v 1500maH battery. Ive tested the battery and I get theright amount of voltage. the A/V things are not hooked up to anything.

Also my n64 doesn't turn on with these batteries. I'm using a TI 7.2v to 3.3v regulator but the LED doesn't turn on. anny help would be nice. I'll upload some pics tonight

The screen needs a video signal before anything is displayed. But the brightness and volume settings should show up when pushed. The N64 and screen together draws around 1900 mA. That batteryshould power it for a little while. But If you're not getting a light then its not hooked up correctly or the battery needs charging.
You can also hook up a 7.5v -12V power supply in the batteries place to check it out. It needs to be an over 2.0A power supply.

My entire situation has flip flopped. :/ I'm using the same power circuit, but now my screen doesn't turn on at all. No flash, no nothing but my N64 turns on (LED lights up) for like 2 seconds and slowly dims to nothing. For now I'm blaming it on the batteries and I'm going to order some good batteries and hook them up instead of my bad ones right now. I was planning on using the better batteries from batteryspace because they have more maH.
