xbox 360 screen hacking... need help!!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Does it say anything by the two power connectors (that I assume go to the rest of the screen)? It may say voltages by them. Or you could test the voltages while its plugged in and turned on, but be careful.

We can't tell you how to separate them without seeing the trace side, too. That said, some boards aren't divided well at all. It may not be as simple as just cracking it down the middle and having two pieces.

It's possible that it'll still run with 12v going into the 14v line. You just have to try it.

ok heres what i got so far:
the board (i think) can be split in 2, but i have a question. there are 3 pads at the bottom near the connector for the screen and they say 14v 5v, GND. so do i hook some 12v, 5v, and a gnd up to those pads or do i have to connect it to each pin. i am super confused on this. here are some pics:

This is my best guess as far as cutting the board.

It's the line with the least amount of broken connections. You'll have t o desolderthe four connections for that square thinger and also the one for the blue capacitor. That's the only connections that I can see from the pictures. You may want to see what the voltages for those connections are. Maybe you can wire the power straight from there and leave out the PSU. Hope that helps.

The yellow square thingy takes about 200v and transfers it to 4 7v... How should I go about making a 7 volt.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding what you posted. It takes 200v on which side? and does it convert it to 7v coming from four spots, or it converts it to 47v? I'm confused.
