just to tell you though. just sayin.. you will need a classic controller to move around the menu so you can access the channels. unless you already somehow found a way to do that with the gamecube controller.
you would not have to switch any buttons around because ALL the gamecube buttons act exactly (not 100% because of its gamecube and u cant go through the channels) like the classic controllers buttons.. if u used the homebrew channel to get some virtual console channels you would notice that u can use a gamecube controller and the buttons work just like a classic controller.

and were is the -, + and home buttons going to go?

Hi,

the reason the wii wont boot anymore is because at some point you powered the wii without full connecting the DVD drive. Both cables must be connected. I think theres a fuse but I could never find it. you had a great start - good luck in the future.

Are you at all interested in selling the dead Wii? I have been looking for one to strip all the parts off and strip the top layer off so that we can get some scans off the middle layer of the board. It will allow for relocating all those pesky bits at the front like buttons, SD slot, etc.

Not looking to spend a lot, but I will pay!

Aw man. We just moved and the wii mobo was in the box of stuff to throw away. I would have gave the mobo to you for free.

Damn, that sucks. :(

REMEMBER, NEVER FORGIVE, NEVER FORGET, AND NEVER THROW ANYTHING BROKEN AWAY!

If you live by those rules, you too can have a garage full of questionably useful electronic parts.

It wasn't a waste, it was a learning experience.

Palmer, a side note. I have started sanding my wii mobo. Thought you might like to know. BUT, I would like a more practical way to sand the board more quickly. If you have any suggestions besides the obvious, then I'd appreciate it bro.

Pics will come in time.
