Charger Ah

I just bought the popular smart charger. (http://www.batteryspace.com/smartcharge ... isted.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) The site says that it supports any battery above 1600 mAh, with no max limit. But the instruction paper that came says that it will support batteries with a capacity between 1.6 and 4.8 Ah. My problem is that the batteries I ordered are 5.1 Ah capacity. Does the capacity even matter for the charger, or should I find lower capacity batteries?

You should be fine, especially with so little difference between the "max" Ah and your batteries' capacity. The only issue should be a little longer charging time.

I would assume the lower bound comes from the max charging current and the upper bound comes from charging time, as vskid stated.

Well, I got the batteries and successfully charged them, 3.5 to 4 hours for charging... They were out of stock of the 5.1Ah, so now I have 5.3Ah's. But it works.
