My information collection site needs your help!
I will be crossposting this on both BH and MR, I hope you guys don't mind;
ANYWAY; Most of you should be aware of my site to some degree by now, because I've done a good job at whoring it out to you.
http://kyorune.com/modding" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Yes, it switched domains, but that is irrelevant - the old urls will redirect you.)
I have worked quite a bit on it lately by going around and asking people for their guides (I'm also working on writing some of my own) but basically what I'm trying to do with it is have a central system with all the useful information imaginable in one place, easily accessible, with no images/file links ever dying. I have a fairly large array of articles/guides/diagrams by now but I'm looking to get even more. If any of you want to write/have written a guide (for the forum) - It'd be nice if you would contribute it. Your name and a link of your choice will be put in the copyrights section of the article - free advertisement!
If you want to help, just post here with links to the guides you want to contribute (any format is fine - you can upload them on rapidshare as a word document or just link to a thread on the forum) and tell me it's ok I put them up. You can also just say that it's ok for me to put up any of your stuff and I'll do the rest.
If you have any other suggestions to make the site better please post them as well.

Re: My information collection site needs your help!
I've been working on some PSone guides, so I'll be sure to give them to you.
Re: My information collection site needs your help!
Normally, I'd be against the whole "promote your own site" thing, but yours has a lot of good info. and it doesn't tie you down to doing your project in a specific way.
Since there hasn't been a wiki here for a while, I'll give my support. I'll try to see what I can add to it.

Yeah, I'm not trying to make it about myself with the site, you'll notice my name isn't on it anywhere besides the domain, I'm just trying to make info more accessible. It's based on a pet peeve of mine, finding an old post that is helpful, with downloads or images that are important being dead
Re: My information collection site needs your help!
Reminds me of the old POD site. I really wish I joined this forum a lot earlier.
I'm working on an audio amp guide. It may take a while. Good luck with your site!

Yeah, I certainly had POD in mind when I originally created it about a year ago. I always liked the concept of the site, but sadly it was pretty much abandoned.

You should see if they will transfer POD to you, the people running it do not seem to be active much (here, or there). Would be cool to have it back to glory.

Excellent

Republish this guide. The site no longer exists, so I don't think you need permission.

I suppose asking doesn't hurt. Who was in charge of that, gannon?

I found the owners aim, talking to him (he told me to ask the other owner) - but the stuff is still there, at http://www.lemonsinseries.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;Bino Gas wrote:YES!palmertech wrote:You should see if they will transfer POD to you, the people running it do not seem to be active much (here, or there). Not sure who owns it at the moment, but the listed administrators, in order, are:
Gannon
abbibi
SpongeBuell
HK-47
Probably Gannon, but you never know; The owner of the site is not always the first admin.

Gannon seems to be the most active, and he's almost never around anymore. I know a couple of us have subdomains on there, but for the most part the site's dead.

Re: My information collection site needs your help!
I've spoken with the admins of the former epicgaming.us (or .net), and they are letting me use their guides! Hooray!
I guess I'll also drop gannon a PM about portables of doom.

Well you could at least drop in and say hi more often.
We could always run it off MediaWiki or Drupal...
