n64 in carboard idea

this is only temporary untill i get the vacuum former. i will make the plastic case last and this cardboard gives me an idea of how small i can make it.
I have started to make an n64 portable and currently broke my n64 board. but i have another n64
It is housed inside a customized coke 12 pack cardboard. It will be put in actual plastic once i get the mold but i have not made the mold or gotten the plastic yet. It will have an expansion pack and rechargeable batteries that u can play while plugged in.

here is the list of things i will add (some already mentioned)
expansion pack
lithium batteries (try for at least 2 hours of game play)
d pad and L button
headphone jack
low battery notifier (the light will turn red when it gets low)
easy access start button (most portables dont have it, mostly only need it if playing super smash bros to exit the match instead of turning the power off or trying to get in a weird position) usually will go underneath the control stick

I will try to make this as small as possible so there might not be a memory card built or 2 player. MIGHT be a 2 player because there is always a custom cord that can be made. and with 2 player i will not have a controller just plug into it.. it will be hooked up into another n64 portable that cannot switch games (might just have the controller but unknown at the moment)

I do not have any pictures right now but i will when i am pretty much done, almost done the cardboard but not the actual case.

The only reason i want to house it in this case is to play it because i usually have no money so i could not buy the stuff to make the plastic case.

i was thinking of having a psone screen but i will have to cut it quite a bit. i dont want to get a 3.5" screen because they are just a little too small and if i tried hooking up the speakers i would get confused.

The only thing i dont like is that it is held together by tape.. there isnt much els to hold it with either than glue. and tape would make it easier to open up to transfer to my second case.

hope someone thinks this could be a good idea.
The box is 6 11/16 wide and 5". the thickness is 1 3/8" and on the other side were the cart goes in it is 2"

Srry, I only skimmed your post, but if you use hot glue (aka 'prototyping gel') and cardboard, I think you could probably make a pretty decent temporary case.

wouldn't use hotglue if it's not permanent. use electrical tape instead
