another post on n64 instability has this happend to others

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

hey guys in my portable work as of today i put in mario cart into my 64p and well it said no CONTROLLER i was like WTF iknow that it is conected so i removed it tryed again and it said the same thing i still had no idea so i took it opened it all up and check the wires they all 3 were connected i was like ??? puzzled as to what it was so i put back in zelda oot and the controller showed up ! i was like yay but then i put mario cart back in and same problem i thought check the back and it seemed that the cartridge was hanging a bit low so i got a bracket and made it so the cart sits strait and i tested mario cart in again and it was fixed but this goes out to any one whos having this problem !

also it wasnt just the mario that did this also bandjo kazooi and super mario 64 but now are all fixed

I was testing the power draw of the controller on my unmodded normal n64 and playing smash bros, it said no controller, I was using a AA power supply for the controller. Although it may have been from only a 2.7v AA batteries.

I was thinking about a cartridge not being in all the way might have something to do with it.
