Are there any games that need the c-stick and the dpad used simultaneously? What about z and L?
I'm thinking about making a switch/button that will change the function of the c-stick and z button to dpad and L, and I want to know how practical this is
C-stick + Z as Dpad and L

a lot of games do use both the Z button and L button. In Zelda L displays the map, Smash Bros you taunt.
just about every game that uses the Dpad uses the C buttons, like Kirby and Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2

Yeah, I can't really think of any games that need the d-pad but no c-buttons. Pretty much every game ever needs at least one c-button. As for Z and L, sometimes they do the same thing, but not always. So for practicality this wouldn't be great. But if you need the space, not many games really require a d-pad or L anyway.

Basically my idea was to make a button/switch that switches the mode. If it's on, the c buttons & z would be functioning as dpad and l, as explained above. I think it might be a good alternative to leaving them out completely, because that way you're not robbed of functionality.
