Removing part of the screen

Removing part of the screen

UPDATE: Okay guys, I went ahead and removed the part of the board highlighted and everything seems to be in working order still. My problem is resolved. Keep in mind I am using a separate audio amp.

I searched around but didn't find any definitive answers when it came to the Psone screen's sides. I have built my own audio amp and have no use for the screen's, and I am wondering if it would be okay for me to remove this part of the screen with no trouble (I really need the room here):

You can cut off more than that. Zenloc has the answers.

Well if you look at his (although unfinished) tutorial, you will see that he conveniently pointed out what part of the board does what. He's done a tremendous job.

I'd definitely be willing to try and take more off but that last bit was all I needed for everything to fit. Thank you though, I must have missed that, I'll go look it up for future's sake.
