PS2 SLIM DVD access ribbon cable!!

Hello!

I'm doing a project with a PS2 SLIMLINE and my problem is the ps2 ribbon cable (the horrendous Golden one with the most pins) is about 1 cm too short. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could extend this? Perhaps a third party manufacturer that makes it a little longer? Perhaps a ribbon extension with clips? Maybe a 2 way clip and another identical ribbon?

Problem is I dont know where to get such a clip that would allow me to attach 2 ribbons together. The ribbon has print on it that says "FB2 <>2" and has 24 pins.

You sir, are the man! What about the other ribbon? Would you happen to know the part number for that one? It has 11 pins I believe.

Do you know where I could get this locally in Toronto?

well unless digikey has a branch in the GTA/Toronto, i think ur just gonna have to get ahold of a credit card and order them through the web site.

anyway, the other one is actually 12 pins, and this is the info for it

For the white ribbon cable :
HF12U-06-ND -- 6" 12 pin 1.0mm ffc extension
WM5304-ND -- 12 pin 1.0mm ffc zif connector

I'm just building a PS2 laptop type config, the Dell laptop offers 2 standard battery slots already built in, and I happen to have a busted one with 2 batteries
