Audio Reciever Unit Selection
I'm in the market for a decent audio receiver unit for hooking up my 360, etc, to some old school speakers that I have. (They use speaker wire) Anyone have an recommendations for a good one, that is a good price? ($150-$200 is my budget maybe a bit more if it comes with some goodies) I'd just like something that has a good number of inputs, and a variety of outputs, from speaker wire, to RCA, etc. I just don't really know what to be looking for in something like this, so all help is appreciated.

Most anything Realistic is usually a good buy. I've got an SA-2001 amp, and it's freaken great. The SA-1001 is also really good too. Pioneer also made some great amps too. You can always surf around ebay to get some ideas too.

Anything made in the late 70's and all throughout the 80's. I have an old sony str-6055, a Fisher CA 810. Very good stuff can be had just scouring.

So true. Fisher, Pioneer, Realistic, Marantz, Sansui, Sony, the list goes on and on for receivers in that time period. eBay is your friend.
Most of my audio equipment is pre-1990. It sounds great, it works great, and it looks great.
