Yes. It's SMB for the Commodore 64, except with some weird stuff thrown in. Nintendo sued them for making it, but I don't remember the outcome. The fireballs act really odd with some of the powerups.
It's pretty fun as far as C64 games go. I wish it was one of the games on the C64 DTV actually.

BTW: In the future, it'd be nice if you made the topic something more like "Has anyone played Great Giana Sisters?" Half of the topics on this forum are like "has anyone ..." and half of those are way too vaguely labelled. I'd appreciate it, at least... (though I know part of the vagueness has to do with getting people to read it)

If you can get a spectrum copy of that HOLD ON TO IT! It is worth tons, as only prototypes were ever made, and the C64 version was rare too

you ask me if i have played it? lol you little fool! i have 2 duplicate disks of the game (only way they could be had at the time) for amiga A500/1000 sadly they quit working now i can only emulate em i had the skyline cracked version wich is better that the red sector version i think i have some wavs and roms if anyone with an A500 emu wants em

fine, The Great Giana Sisters is a game released the Commodore 64, Nintendo Bastards threatened with lawsuits, and the game is indefentely shelved and taken off shelves, but prototype spectrum versions exist, and are extremely rare.
