Making a Portable Gamecube

Post by John Kirby »

OK, for a few weeks now I've been 'shadowing' the website reading all the information I could for building a portable (or maybe a laptop version) of the gamecube. I have never done anything like this before and I have no practice in any of the skills I'll need. I've got two gamecubes which I'm going to use.

Will I be able to use a portable dvd player I have for the screen and will the 7.4v battery be adequate?
Any information is appreciated.

well the gamecube can take 7.4v but the disc drive will have problems. your better off getting 10v+ battery and getting a 7808 or a switching regulator to lower it down to around 7-8 volts. also as long as the DVD player has AV input yes you can use it.
