What do you want to see in a new 360 laptop?
I'm mulling over the idea of another 360 laptop and doing a better job of documenting it. I didn't for my last one, because I wasn't sure I could actually complete it. I got a ton of comments and gripes about what mine didn't include, so I'm going to open it up to you. Tell me what you think would be important upgrades from my last 360 Laptop.
Here are some of the things others have wanted.
1. Different color
2. Larger internal hard drive
3. Swappable hard drive
4. Battery
5. CNC machined case
6. A/V out ports
7. Jasper mobo
8. Thinner case
9. Built-in WiFi
tell me which ones you think would be most important. Thanks!

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I think if you spent the money on a decent lipo battery that could run the thing for an hour or two you'd be hailed as a god. It's certainly doable, but it does make the case thicker, maybe by 1/2".
Instead of a larger internal hard drive, you should make the option to have an external hard drive with a selector switch. Get a switch that will switch every single wire from the internal hard drive over to an external one with a makeshift plug installed on either end or even a converter so you could use any normal xbox hard drive. That would be a pretty cool feature and would save the space of having a removable hard drive.
I don't think you should bother with cnc machining. Your case looked great the way it was, just as good/better than the cnc machined ones I've seen. Although, a method I was thinking about doing for a PS2 laptop once was to get a ~2" thick piece of plastic and cut by hand a square with rounded corners And then get two 1/4" pieces of plastic cut in the came shape but without a hole in the middle to go on top and bottom. This would allow you to do curves in the case without cnc machining, although cnc machining can do 3D curves, not just the 2D curves you'd achieve with this method.
A/V and hdmi out is a definite plus.

Lol a battery. Different colors would be most prominent in my mind.
A truly wise man can entertain a thought without accepting it. A fool cannot withhold past judgments but instead closes his mine to new possibilities. Someone who wants to innovate simply needs to forget what everyone says isn't possible.

i think a battery would be the most important, you would be able to play anywhere (obviously), but you would still have to deal with a slightly larger case. and the interchangeable hard drive would be cool too.

I would like to see you led mod the RF board so that the LEDs match your case colors. Really simple to do and has a cool effect.

I think a CNC'd case is actually a con if you're making a guide for others to follow. I think your handbuilt case turned out great and would be more doable for more people.
AV out is a good feature, allows the 360 to be hooked up to a bigger TV. Built in wifi would be good. Even though the official adapter is expensive, it fits the convenience of a laptop.

I think id be cool if someone installed xbreboot or freeboot with xexloader to play some homebrew on some of these custom laptops. Theres already a snes emulator and im sure theres a lot more to come.

The 18000 mA battery featured today on Woot would run it for a bit, I think. Hour, maybe? Doesn't look overly large, and it's under $100 shipped.

Still not enough I believe, 360 draws 16.9 amps. And why would you want three of those monsters in your laptop?
